Why we do not use Skype
Our company deliberately avoids using Skype to contact customers for the following reasons:
1. Unfortunately, we do not have a possibility to be always online and answer numerous generous questions about the Dominican Republic which are not in our line. We have already become some kind of information desk about the country, but we have not got enough time recently to fulfill this function.
2. We believe that our possible client that is interested in our services and needs them will find an opportunity to phone or e-mail us. If they are not motivated enough to do this, we do not have time resources and wish for continuous Skype conversations about vague issues.
3. We do not wish our possible customers to see the Offline icon in Skype because of a great difference in time zones and working hours.
4. We would like people who call us to understand that they are calling to the Dominican Republic, where we actually are, and to take the time zone into account. People usually do not pay attention to user’s time zone when communicating over Skype, and we get calls at absolutely any time of day and night.
5. If a person insists on using only free connection and does not wish to spend a few minutes on an e-mail or a few dollars on an international call, we get a sufficient understanding of his intentions. We reserve the right not to work with such customers and to concentrate on those who respect both their and our time.
